Here's the challenge. Imagine the City of Colorado Springs is a business and we have all been tasked to give it a mission statement. What is the purpose of Colorado Springs as a city? This is way harder than you think. No idea is a bad idea. Let it free flow. Don't bash people's thoughts. You'll be amazed at what is said.
Ready, set, go.
Welcome to Colorado Springs Citizens' Solutions, a place for healthy dialog on how to preserve and protect the investments in Colorado Springs and how we as citizens can work together as a community. Please post responsibly. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

ReplyDeleteThat's the problem. GOVERNMENT ISN'T SUPPOSE TO BE A "BUSINESS".
The purpose of American Governance is to Secure the Inalienable rights of the Governed - THAT'S IT.
Rights being "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness" - everything else is beyond the specified scope of purpose.
I was trying to suggest we look at the City of of Colorado Springs which the government manages. Let's look at the purpose, the vision, the goals of the CITY OF COLORADO SPRINGS. Defining our mission and purpose as a city will dictate how we want our governement to govern us. Thanks for helping me clarify. Dianne
