Is This How It's Going To Be?

So, is this it? Doug Bruce vs. City Council? Oh, let's not forget Lambert. He's first and foremost. I mean, come on. What he does is of uttmost importance to all of us, right? 1,500 complaints and all kinds of publicity today. It's good we all have our priorities straight.

Guess what? City Council today approved the new budget. Approved, as in done. It's done.


I don't understand. I am at a loss. I think I should focus on making cookies for my girls, be a PTA mom, coordinate sleepovers and playdates and just it let it all unfold.

Whatever.

    I've become very disenchanted, Dianne. It seems the city is going to do what it wants to do, regardless of what the constituents want. They will deprive us of what we want/need, until we agree to have our taxes raised....rather than looking for ways to spend tax $$ more wisely. I know this isn't a place for ranting, but I can't help it. It's just like Senator Bennett said on the news the other day...he will vote FOR the new healthcare bill, even if the vote is not what his constituents want and he ends up losing his job because of it. Rather than being our representatives, they are just abusing their power.

    I feel your pain, Lynne. Seems like a wrecking ball or steamroller couldn't stop these guys. Sickening. Makes me want to vomit. I don't mind this blog being a place for ranting, cause I'm not sure that's all we can do at this point. Thanks for posting, Lynn.
